Our passion and love of fly fishing is and always will be here in Montana for wild trout. Montana is hard to beat with it’s thousands of rivers, spring creeks and lakes, not to mention the scenery, wonderful lodges, restaurants and friendly people. The winters are long and a fly fisherman’s desires have to be addressed. That is why we have set up our hosted trips program. We take small groups of serious fly fisher’s in search of the” Holy Grail” of fly fishing. We will continue to seek locations for trout, tarpon, bonefish, permit and just about any other sporting fish that swims and hides in exotic corners of the world.

Here are some trips that we’re currently booking for this year:

Bahamas Bonefishing

The Bozeman Angler is the exclusive U.S. booking agent for Samuel Knowles Bonefish Adventures on Long Island in the beautiful Bahamas. We helped this totally Bahamian run operation get started back in 1996, and to date have

not found a better bonefish destination anywhere for the price. They are the best guides with the smoothest running operation in the Bahamas. The focus here is on the flats fishing and making sure you catch bonefish.

The lodging is handled by Wade Smith who makes you feel like family. The Bozeman Angler hosts the month of April and has been since 1997. This lodge only handles 6 fly fishers and books up fast, so plan ahead. For more information give us a call. Seasons run from October thru June and we are now booking for the 2012 season. For the month of April we give our 2011 Long Island clients first dibs on their slots for 2012 (several clients have rebooked every year since ‘97), then we go to our waiting list of names to fill the open slots. So, if you are serious about a 2012 opening get your name on the list. Call us to check for other available dates in the 2012 season.

1)     Six full days guided fishing (Junin’s best, bilingual speaking guides)

4)     Ground transportation from and back to the Bariloche airport to the Lodge in Junin.

This is a special package put together by The Bozeman Angler and Rio Dorado Lodge. We know what American fly fishers want and need, and have trimmed off the fat.  This program gives you many freedoms and experiences we feel are missed at some of the exclusive lodges by allowing you to fish a variety of different waters with the best guides in the area while enjoying the Argentine people and their culture and cuisine first hand.

The lodge provides huge 20’X25’ rooms with plenty of space for both you and your gear where you’ll never feel crowded by your partner. Also, on the grounds is a very nice breakfast room, swimming pool and Asado house. Each evening we will all meet after the day’s fishing for cocktails and to sample some great Argentine smoked meats, cheeses, sausages and wines as well as to share the day’s fishing stories. Then, we will travel to a local restaurant where you can eat true Argentine style dishes and choose what you would like for dinner and dessert each night at a different location.

Each day will be customized to fit your favorite fishing style, whether you prefer walk wading or floating. You can fish dries, nymphs or streamers whatever you desire, we will be there to make it happen.

In Buenos Aires we have a bilingual agent, Ariel, who will greet you at the airport with a big smile and a sign including your name. He provides safe and reliable ground transportation while in Buenos Aires. You will never feel like you are on thin ice. Our friend and agent will make sure that the group is introduced to each other and see that everyone gets on the right flight in Buenos Aires. He can also plan a city tour for the group. Everyone will stay at The Claridge Hotel which is one of Buenos Aires’ nicest five star hotels.  We have used them for years and find them to be the most friendly, well run hotel conveniently located in the middle of the best dining and shopping districts. Not to mention very reasonably priced.
