Fall is here, and you can feel it in the air and see it everywhere you look. All of sudden the trees are dropping their leaves, and those that are left are brillant yellow and red. This year it's seemed that summer has lingered longer than most, with highs hovering in the sixties and seventies through most of the month. October to me always brings to mind cloudy, drizzly, cool weather and standing in the river casting BWOs to rising fish or swinging streamers for big browns.
Most people around are pretty happy about the nice weather. And while it may not be the best for fishing, it is perfect for taking a few moments to pause, look around and appreciate what a beatiful place Montana in the fall really is.
