Do you have kids that want to learn to fish? We have the perfect option for you: The Bozeman Angler Summer Kid's Camp. This camp is designed to teach kids how to fish in a fun and no pressure kind of way. They will learn the basics of fly fishing including:
-Tying a Fly
-Fighting and Playing Fish
The camp will take place Tuesdays from June 30 through August 11. The camp starts at 9am down at the fly shop where we will be teaching them a few things in our classroom. Then we head to a local park to fish the pond! This on the water teaching is fun and exciting for the kids, as they have a chance to actually catch one of the many fish in the pond. Many times kids will fish the fly they tie in the classroom. The feeling of catching a fish on a fly you tie is amazing, and even more so for children. The kids will be back at the shop by 2 or 3 in the afternoon.
The camp is led by one of our licensed guides and there are always at least two adults with the children at all times. It is a safe and fun environment to get kids into fly fishing. The camp costs $75 a day and we limit the class size to 10 kids. Call the shop at 406-587-9111 for more info or to sign up!
