A big shout out to all the Mom's today and all the hard work they do. My ma Pam King has long been the heartbeat of the Bozeman Angler and definatley a huge part of what holds this place together. Thanks for being the mother to not just me and my sister but also all the other fishing bums, guides, and customers that make up the family of the fly shop.
Pam is an amazing angler full of knowledge and also very humble about her casting ability. I've always thought she'd of made an incredible guide but she is usually to busy taking care of the fly shop. One of those people who teaches you that treating everyone with respect and kindness will often cause respectful and kind people to surround you in life.
The caddis came a little bit earlier than actual Mother's day this year but a few years ago they hit the yellowstone a few days before the holiday and by Mother's day it was game on. I rowed my mom down through the town stretch on Mother's day and she roped fish on the dry all day long. Easily one of the most memorable and enjoyable floats i've taken down the Stone. If your Mom fishes i hope you get the chance to take her out on the water today or any other day for that matter. If she doesn't fish give her the day off and say thanks.
