Bahamas Bonefishing with The Bozeman Angler

For anglers interested in saltwater fly fishing for Bonefish the Bozeman Angler has a phenomenal package put together for a travel destination trip.  Located in Long Island, Bahamas we have been booking fishermen at the Smith & Wells Bonefish Lodge and guiding through outfitter Sammy Knowles since 1997.  This entire Bahamian run outfit is focused on having the best guides possible to get you into some serious bonefishing regardless of skill level.  Plenty of shots at fish and plenty of challenging opportunities for the big bones as well.  Long Island is home to miles of pristine sand bottom flats ideally suited for walk-wading and stalking bones.  The outer ocean flats and mangroves are great from the casting deck of the flats boats as the guides pole you through deeper water and soft bottomed flats.  Take an afternoon to go after barracudas or sharks and put your flies up to the predator fish challenge if you should care for a change from the world class bonefishing.  The lodge can accomodate up to eight anglers per week and is located right on the water where the guides will meet you at the boat launch every morning.  The season runs from October through June and The Bozeman Angler has exclusive booking rights on the entire month of April which we have found typically has the best weather and best fishing.

$2,195.00 PRICE PER WEEK based on double occupancy includes:

  • 7 nights lodging
  • 6 days guided fishing
  • All your meals
  • Transportation to and from Deadman's Cay airport

The Bahamas is a truly beautiful country full of incredible fishing and welcoming laughter and smiles from the local people.  Values are heavy on family, friendship, and happiness with the Bahamians and they will have you feeling like part of the family.  Long Island is part of the family or out islands of the Bahmas which means very little resort style developement and a really calm feeling of serenity and seclusion.  Let us show you just how amazing fly fishing the flats can be.  Contact Pam at the shop by calling 406-587-9111 or email pam [at] bozemanangler [dot] com for reservations.
