Nov 29 Galatin trip

Little Ol' Lady Luck was no where to be found today on the Galatin. I fished with Sarah today above Sheds bridge and the only thing that seemed to work was a pink midge. Sarah caught one brown and one rainbow on a pink midge and that was all the action. The fish seemed to be eating more in the earlier part of the day becuase on the walk back downstream they werent eating anything. If you're heading out to the Galatin try using bright midges and maybe a rubberleg or another nymph. Head out before it gets too cold!

10/25 Bear Trap

I fished the Upper bear trap on the madison saturday just below Ennis Dam. It was an ok day of fishing probably due to the water still being muddy from Ennis lake. It was colder in the morning but as the day progressed the clouds went away and the sun came out. The set-up of the day seemed to be any olive green bugger with a pink midge dropper. Also caught some fish on olive bead head soft hackles and lightning bugs. Some fish were rising here and there to baetis flies, but nothing would touch a dry fly. The fish we caught were earlier in the morning and around 12:30 - 1:00 the fishing slowed down.
