2011 Fly Fishing year in review
It's nice when you can look back at the year and get all nostalgic reminscing about the last year before the ball drops. 2011 was a year of extremes for the Montana fly fisherman from the crazy run-off and flooding to incredible summer hatches continuing through september. We said goodbye to local legends like Syl Nemes and Tex Tucker while we also welcomed new faces like Ty and Sara's baby "Jameson" and my black lab "Trutta". Just wanted to say thanks to all the fishy bums and gals, guides, shop dogs, and the past generations of fly flingers who for supporting your local fly shop. Every year has it's ups and downs but overall i'm pretty pleased the way this one turmed out. So have a fun and safe years end celebration and we look forward to wetting some lines in 2012. The warm weather the last few days has presented so nice but breezy days to get some quality water time in. Things are pretty good in the Gallatin canyon, Upper and Lower Madison so if the skiing ain't awesome go cast a rod.
