argentina march 2010

Our trip to Argentina was great in March.  We went looking for the migrating fall browns, but it was still summer weather for most of our trip.  We did manage to catch some nice browns, rainbows and landlocked salmon.  We enjoyed dry fly fishing as well as stripping streamers and nymphing with tiny flies.  The best part was the people we met along the way from catching up with old friends to making new ones.  What a friendly and kind people the Argentines are!  We laughed with them and had great conversations not really understanding each others languages, but that didn't matter.  Fly fishing in Argentina is definitely something that should be on your bucket list!!  Let us know if we can help you plan your next trip to South America.  The big brown trout Pam caught on the Chimehuin River took a big foam black beetle hitting it with typical Salmon Trutta vigor.
